We're dedicated to seeing vulnerable children and young adults develop the life skills they need to engage in their community and live happy, healthy, fulfilling lives — and that commitment extends well beyond the services we're paid for.
Spire Assist has donated in excess of £30,000 to the local community, reaching between 100 and 120 individual families. The support is practical and immediate: clothing, food shopping, groceries and school uniforms for families going through hard times.
Anyone can put a family forward. Every referral is assessed on its own merits — where the donation will be used, its purpose, and the circumstances of the family — and a decision is usually made within a week. Successful referrals receive an introductory call to arrange the transfer of funds or purchase of what's needed.
Through frequent events supporting causes close to our hearts, our children's charity work has raised more than £180,000 so far.
Supporting research into kidney disease and transplantation, we partnered with a series of local businesses — and car manufacturer Aston Martin — to host an awareness and fundraising event featuring celebrity guests and memorabilia auctions.
At charity events in Knutsford and Bradford, with help from Tez Ilyas and Art Malik, we donated £5,350 to the Graham Layton Trust — which provides free, high-quality eye care for those less fortunate in developing countries.
Every two to three years we hold a grand charity gala: fine dining and entertainment for all guests — dance troupes, singers, and hosting by DJs from radio stations such as Heart and Capital FM.

To receive a nomination for any award — let alone to win — is incredibly humbling. But it's not what drives us. Our goal is to do the greatest amount of good we can, for the largest number of people, and to see children and young adults grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
We didn't start Spire Assist from a desire for fame or renown. We do it because we care about people — and awards simply tell us we're doing the work the right way.
